Chanin Wines, Los Alamos Vineyard, Pinot Noir – 2020
Chanin Wines Los Alamos Vineyard Pinot Noir is SPICY, it’s lively, it’s buzzing. Energy flows through it from the tip of your tongue through to the back palate.
Gavin Chanin is an artist. (That’s his artwork on the labels), and he was trained by wine artists — by the late, great Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat (Gavin was Asst. Winemaker) — among others. He has access to top fruit, mostly old vines planted in the 1970’s and the results are stunning. Ethereal purity and age-worthy.
